Application for Industrial connection through Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA)'s Online One-Stop Service System

The application process through BIDA One Stop Web Portal for Industrial connection has been launched on 31th December 2020. Investors are requested to register and apply through BIDA Webportal (bidaquickserv.org) of Industrial Connection for faster service.

Steps of Online Application for New Connection

Step-1  Click on Application for New Connection at the right-side panel of DPDC website. Then go to the “Apply New Application” link and a page for initial information will be arrived. After fill up the page with appropriate information please enter Save button. Immediately, a short message will send to entered mobile number along with tracking number and pin number. Besides that, prospective customer will be requested for his/her confirmation. Applicant can update entered information before his/her confirmation but not permitted after that. After the confirmation, there will be an application form displayed on the screen and customer should printout the same. Applicant should put his/her signature on the form and submit to respective NOCS office. Moreover, prospective customer can monitor his current application status via website or SMS service by using this tracking number.

Step-2  For LT connection, prospective customer will be requested to submit the following documents via SMS

  • 1. Applicant’s passport-size Photo and National ID/Passport/Online Birth Registration
  • 2. Land/Flat Ownership Deed or Lease Deed or Mutation Certificate with Khatian, or Land Deed and Khatian with Power of Attorney from the original owner, or (if the owner is deceased) Succession Certificate with heirs’ consent, or Developer Agreement (for developer-built buildings), or Joint Ownership Permission (if applicable), or Land Ownership Certificate
  • 3. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Acknowledgement Receipt/Certificate of Return of Income is mandatory for all new electricity connections at residential, commercial and industrial level in all City Corporation, Municipal and Cantonment Board areas
  • 4. City corporation/municipality approved Building plan, holding number, in RAJUK/CDA/KDA/RDA and in other cases (if applicable)
  • 5. Fire extinguishing certificate/Temporary certificate in multi-storied building (more than 10 stories)
  • 6. For the same name, same customer category, and the same premises, no new documents are required for obtaining a new connection; however, a copy of the National ID/Passport/Online Birth Registration and a copy of the latest paid bill/customer number must be submitted
Again, for HT/MT connection, customer submit the documents as per Citizen Charter which is available at DPDC website. Incomplete application will be informed to applicant immediately.

Step-3  Applicant will be informed via SMS about site survey and that will be done within 1 day for LT connection whereas 3 days for HT/MT connection. If there are any types discrepancy in survey report, applicant will be informed immediately. Applicant will be requested to pay his/her due (if any) at the location of connection.

Step-4  After the field survey, Load will be allocated within 1 day for LT connection and 8 days for HT/MT connection.

Step-5  If applicant is qualified for new connection then he/she will be requested to pay estimated cost and security deposit according to type of connection immediately for LT connection. In case of HT/MT connection this demand note will be issued within 2 days.

Step-6  Applicant should submit the bank deposit receipt to NOCS office.

Step-7  Customer will be requested to submit meter and after successful testing of the meter it will be installed within 2 days for LT/HT/MT connection.
